What is NFL FLAG? NFL FLAG offers
non-contact continuous action, using minimal
equipment. It emphasizes basic football skills
of passing, catching defending, and running.
Participants learn about formations, pass
patterns and different types of defenses. This
five-on-five game is recognizable to football
fans. The offensive team starts at its own 5
yard line and plays for a first down at mid-field
and a touchdown in the end zone. Running
and passing plays are allowed, although there
are “no running zones” at mid-field and near
the goal line. The defensive team covers
receivers, rushes the passer, and grabs the
flag to make a “tackle”.
Who is eligible to play? Boys and Girls
ages 6-14 on or before September 1 for the
fall Season and Jan 1 for the Winter Season

success of the league. All of the coaches are volunteers. Coaches are
expected to understand and be able to teach the fundamental
principles of football and adhere to all league rules. Each team
receives flag belts, footballs and a NFL FLAG handbook outlining the
rules. Indicate your interest at registration day. Teams may also have
assistant coaches and team parents that provide refreshments for the
players which is typically organized by the head coach for each team.
Attire Cleats are allowed, except for metal spikes. All players must
wear a protective mouthpiece. NO exceptions.

How long is the season and how do I register? We will
play a nine game season. Games will be approximately 45 minutes
long and be conducted between 9 AM and 2PM on Saturdays. Parents
are invited to participate as coaches. A parent or guardian must be
accompanying any participant to registration. All Parents and
Guardians must complete a NFL registration form and a Flag Football
Participation Agreement.
